The Strawberry Chapter 19

Kindness Seeds

by Katherine Aguilar

The days of yesterday are over. Still, the actions of kindness never change unless you want to change them in your life. This chapter goes over the seeds of kindness thrown my way.

Culture

The rollercoaster of life can sometimes take you on a long dip. Which leaves you wondering when this dip in the ride will pull up.

There are others on this ride, and they have the same questions running through their mind. It is with thoughts of strangers. See the lift to the dip before I do. They tells you it is coming. Hold on.

These people, whom I now call friends. Come from a world apart from mine. They flew across the world to live a dream they had read about in their younger lives. To see the dream for themselves. Not what the media or books had said. When here, they see that the dream was not as glossy as they had thought it might be from what they read and saw in the media. While visiting here for a while, they made friends and I'm one of the friends they made. Had their desire to see the dream for themselves never happened. Our paths may have never crossed. They shared their customs, foods, faith, and languages. A culture I had no idea about, only what I had seen in the media. The expansion of my mind and thoughts of a place they were from. I I had only read about, also. They were kind and supportive and gave me extra kindness when others may have turned away. During my time, it seemed like my rollercoaster wasn't going to pull up.

They traveled back home after their life rollercoaster was over. Realizing the original life they had a not a dream it was real. They are now living the true dream of their life. Closer to family and friends long missed. The comforts of life, they travel thousands of miles for. They already had. Right where they originally from. Tthey shared a window in their life with me.

There are selective people keep from a season in a lifetime. This beautiful couple. From this, season I call friends.

Learning about other people's lives can be very enriching.

Building bridges

Throughout our lives. One standard of soil placed on top of was to make sure everyone's opportunities and rights are protected, regardless of differences. There are many times. I have not agreed with viewpoints or even religions. That doesn't mean. I would shut the door to listen to what that person has to say. Nor would I allow some stop another from that person to share with view with others.

I could learn something or not.

There are opportunities where. People will treat others like cattle and not give them the right to decide for themselves. I would be the one who is telling. To stop! Don't take that person's rights away. Let them decide for themselves.

If people did more listening in religion and politics. The world would be in a better position.

Whether you agree with the person or not. Take a moment and listen.

I know I have mentioned listening in the previous chapters. That is how important it is for me to bring it up again. My friend who died. Whom I wrote about in the previous chapter. They listened. One of the main reasons they are missed.

The seed of quiet time.

Taking a moment in this busy life to have a moment for yourself and to actually look inside yourself or outside. If you do not see the good inside yourself to see that life is not so bad. Then I think a change needs to happen. If you take five minutes for yourself and look at yourself in the mirror saying, " life is good, I have my life and family." What more can I ask for? Everything after that is extra layers of soil. Determining for yourself what kind of soil you want to put on yourself.

Example if all you want to do is go shopping, a fast food restaurant, or other items that are not a major priority. Then what kind of soil do you think you put on yourself? Or passed on to your friends and family.

I have done the same thing. I am still trying to get out of the bad soil of the credit cards I charged up. You are not the only one.

I want that bad soil GONE!

It will lift your spirit and give you more time to use your time and money more wisely on your family. To give enriched soil on them.

Going back to the manual I mentioned in the previous chapter.

Connection

This seed was thrown my way a few years back by a young person. The older generation does not always know all the technologies of today. It was refreshing for a young person. Willing to help an older generation person catch up with the technological times of today. With brainstorming and research on an internet service. The youth helped me have a breakthrough in connecting the technologies. It may have been a small moment to them. It was a big one for me. It was as if they turned on the faucet of running water. Letting it flow towards new technologies.
